BOOKS COMING SOON
There are over one hundred fifty stories written in verse, written one at a time, over many, many years.
They're being gathered now into multiple compendium-style volumes — each book a mix,
so a story about kindness might sit beside a frog with a grievance.
I'm drawing them myself, in ink,
which is newer to me than the writing.
That's the part that takes time. I'd rather they be done by my hand than be fast.
With over one hundred fifty stories, there is a lot to review.
Deciding which ones make it into which volume, and in what order each one will sit, is harder than writing them.
Monsters is the exception.
It stands alone, with its own back matter,
because it's written for families, classrooms, and counselors
who need one book on one subject rather than a collection.
There's no date yet. When there is one, everyone on the list hears first.
I am sharing all the progress along the way through social media and email, though.
I write more than I publish.
I share the new ones with those on the list.
Stories and sketches come to you
as soon as they exist.
